Before joining FCA Technologies, Linda Kelly worked in the Property Management industry serving as Controller of Edgewood Management Corporation and CFO of Borger Management. She used Timberline as a client before becoming a consultant.

As for specific applications, I have a lot of experience with Payroll including setting up Certified payroll. I have designed some very effective year-end reconciliation reports that have assisted clients with W2 preparation. I have assisted customers with the development of automated purchase order and change order systems, including designing source documents as well as spreadsheet style change order log submittals.

Most of all I enjoy sharing my Timberline knowledge with others. After more than 12 years as a Certified consultant I continue to discover new and interesting ways to implement the software and take advantage of advanced features.

“I like every part of Sage Timberline Office. My favorite would be Report Designer and Job Cost. I also like teaching (this can be for any of the applications). However, I like to teach the Project Manager's on using JC. They always seem to be a challenge.

I have designed several different allocation reports for customer’s that could be imported back into JC. For example Indirect cost that get allocated back to the Jobs. This also works for PR allocations. The more difficult the better.”

Prior to working with Timberline and FCA Technologies, she was a Timberline Gold Extended User as the Project Accountant for a local Construction firm. Her in-depth knowledge of Job Cost, and Cost reporting has been invaluable to her customers.

Kim enjoys a fine reputation as a Sage Timberline Office trainer, both in the classroom, and on-site. Her students always enjoy her teaching style, and feel their time is well spent.

Kim began working with Sage Timberline Office to reduce the double entry created when using a payroll service that could not handle her certified payroll reporting needs.

 She was able to quickly identify the key components in Payroll that allowed her to automatically calculate her company’s fringe benefit program, and correctly adjust employee payroll for certified projects.

 Kim also has experience with service organizations, and is familiar with the billings turnaround needs an on-call organization requires.

“I have over 30 years experience in specialized construction accounting areas with over 25 years experience with the Timberline applications. I’ve watched the Timberline products evolve from running on a mini-computer system to the “ever so popular” PC environment.

I’ve had the pleasure of helping many customers design, set up, and implement their new accounting software to help them be able to not only handle their present day needs more efficiently but also prepare them for the demands of the future.

I like being pushed into an area that forces me to think outside the box; the challenge stimulates me. In most cases I have been able to meet the challenges because I‘ve had understanding clients to work with while learning their business. I think some companies actually enjoy teaching other people their business. That’s usually a good mix for me.

During most of that time, Cheryl also had her own business, Order Out of Chaos, which specialized in setting up paper flow systems and computerized bookkeeping for contractors. She wrote a column for Remodeling Magazine and was a speaker at the Remodelers Show on several occasions.

Cheryl’s roots in construction originate in the field, where she started in 1982 as a laborer and progressed to a carpenter’s helper. She has also done estimating, on-site property maintenance, production coordination, and office management for several local contractors over the years.

“The best part about being a Certified Consultant is showing someone how this powerful software can help them manage their business more effectively. I have a degree in education, so it’s also exciting to be back in front of a class again.”

I enjoy the challenge of having a client describe to me their current issues and finding effective ways to resolve them and then working with the client to implement those resolutions.

I also enjoy using the software implementation process to help my customers further define their processes, workflow and job descriptions in order to bring all of this into a more organized and effective work environment.”

Sally has worked in the Property Management field in the Washington DC area for over 20 years. She uses her skills to do data conversion and implementation Real Estate customers.

Mario Parcan is a professor, faculty member and coordinator of the Management of Construction program at Montgomery College. He teaches courses in Construction Methods and Materials, Construction Plan Reading, Construction Management and Construction Estimating.

Professor Parcan has a Master of Science in Engineering degree in Construction Management from Catholic University, where he teaches the Construction Estimating and Bidding course in the graduate program.

Professor Parcan is also a certified trainer in Precision Estimating by Timberline and recently received the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) National Excellence in Construction Education award.

Professor Parcan offers a background in construction based on 28 years of progressive involvement both in the residential and commercial sectors. He often serves as a consultant in cost estimating and construction management.
